Biography

Dr. Pavani Muddasani joins Texas Health Care as a board certified gastroenterologist, which is a specialty that focuses on the entire digestive system.

Earning her medical degree from Kakatiya Medical College in Warangal, India, Dr. Muddasani held internships in psychiatry and internal medicine. She was a Fellow in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at University of Pittsburgh Hospitals.

Dr. Muddasani was drawn to gastroenterology during her residency training because the field allowed her to combine the skills of endoscopy and medical knowledge to treat a wide range of gastrointestinal problems, from acute bleeding to chronic illness like inflammatory bowel disease.

Dr. Muddasani’s approach to patient care starts with attentive listening, spending adequate time with patients and being thorough in answering their questions.

She has been practicing gastroenterology for more than 11 years and has lived in Fort Worth since 2006. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Muddasani is a past assistant professor of medicine through the UNT Health Science Center, where she taught gastroenterology fellows.

Dr. Muddasani is married and has two daughters. She enjoys spending time with family and cooking.
